Sure and I'm not trying to be a jerk.
Be where they want to be.

I'd setup on feeding areas. Be there before they get there. Edges of cut cornfields is a good place. If you are in a dairy state I sit edges of cattle feedlots as the birds will feed in the spilled silage.

Right now we have huge winter flocks. So its tough but it can be done.
