Get lazy?...don't we all?

I am like some of you. I shot a fat doe with my bow on Oct.1 (upstate NY bow opens the first!) Then on November 1, I shot a spiked buck with a rifle. Wife complains we have too much venison for just the 2 of us...but I am gobbling it up pretty fast. I remodeled my kitchen this summer...everything new...cabinets, sheetrock on walls and ceiling, rewiring, new appliances, everything. Well, I didn't get all the trim work around windows and baseboards done before hunting season...so I am playing catch-up now...instead of hunting. Today, I was walking from my shop to the house with some lumber when I saw four large deer on the other side of the road. I saw them so briefly that I couldn't say for sure if one was a racked buck. As I contemplated heading out for them, my dear wife reminded me of my promises and my priorities. I am just like most guys...I get a little lazy about my hunting when I have been successful...but just give me a glimpse of some venison on the hoof....that re-ignites the fire and I am ready to go again!
