I was thinking something a little different. First cut it to desired length and fill the void up to about 1/2"-3/4" of end of stock with Great Stuff then fill the remainder with something like devcon 10110 after masking the outside edge of the stock. Reinstall and mark the recoil pad for fitting if necessary.
