RE: SST AT 200 YDS
I wanted to try the smokless powder so that is why I got a Savage because it is made to shoot both types.I know that about 6 out of 10 use smokless powder in their knights and T/C but its their a-- not mine.
I read awhile back that a young fellow in Ga. was shooting smokless in a knight and the barrel blew up and a piece went through his head killing him.Was at the range one day and a youn g fellow came in to shoot his omega and I asked him what he was shooting and he said IMR ---- and it would drive tacks @100,well I got to watching him shoot ( after I moved a ways back)and I didn't see any group, his shots were all over the target board. One gun shop owner gave me a 30 minute speech as to why He figured the Knight was strong enough to shoot smokless.
Years ago I saw a man that had shot some of his friends reloads in his new Rem 270 that his wife had got him for xmas, part of his face and his right hand was missing. That rifle was made to withstand lots of pressure but there is a limit as to how much pressure.
