Well DIY I can honestly say that your set up does well for you and you do make a valid point. But I believe that 12+ gr per arrow weight is pretty excessive. Now again I'm not saying you're wrong. You definitely need momentum for adequate pentration. I also believe too that you need both speed and momentum. And selecting a compromise that fits your own individual needs is needed. Paramount importance is the design, strength and sharpness of your broadhead.
Even knowing the range exactly I cannot see shooting your set up at a pronghorn at 70 yards. The trajectory alone would make it difficult for a double lung hit. You're talking about a drop of over 200". My set up would have just a touch over 100". Both would have KE of 71 ftlb. Your momentum factor would be .708 while mine is .514. You have a lot more momentum but both of us would kill their animal and with pass throughs.
So I stated my opinion and now I'm done - honest. I'm not looking at your threads any more.
