In my old age I've finally figured out why these are so good. I have bought a new Henry H015 single shot .243 and put a cheap Weaver base on it. Put the scope on and I couldn't get it back far enough for my old eyes. Put a Henry picatinny rail on it and now I can move the rings where I need them. Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
