Thanks for all the advice. I really appreciate it. L

There’s one thing I don’t understand, though.

When me and my hunting partner hunt, nine times out of 10 we go in fly by fields. Not fields the geese always land in. Those times, we limit out. He’s an excellent caller, and we use his high-quality decoys and layout blinds.

He is always able to call a flock that’s coming over to land into the field.

I actually talked to him a few days ago. He gave me some great advice. He said calling is number four on his list. Number one and number two is good blinds and good decoys. After you have those, then you can work on calling.

that’s what he said.

anyway, it’s not about shooting a bird anymore. Yes, you should have fun while hunting. Even if you don’t get something, you should have fun.

The thing I want to do, is be able to take a goose or duck on my own eventually. I feel like I’m dependent on other people to help me get the things I need, like ducks and geese.

that’s the whole thing right there.

anyway, thank you all for the advice. I really appreciate it.
