I kind of a dyed-in-the-wool 1911 guy, having put 10's of 1000's of rounds downrange in USPSA competitions with my P14-45's. Nothing else naturally "points" well for me. My personal opinion is that there have been no improvements in handgun design since John Browning's masterpiece, save for the "double-stack" enhancement of his design. DA/SA, DAO, Safe-Action... All designed by lawyers, not gun guys, because Lord knows we need to make triggers harder to pull so we don't accidentally kill someone...
