I never bought the Badlands - but noticed they're sold out on the Badlands site and have limited inventory everywhere else.


I gave my son the Nomad vest because (1) I felt he needed one, and (2) I thought the upper chest strap was too high. The Nomad actually fit him well, but he decided that Dad was the guide and therefore the only one who really needed a vest. In all honesty, we've hunted a bunch of new properties all less than 5 mins from our house this Spring, so neither of us have carried a ton of gear this year. He carried a gun and strut seat and any decoys I handed him.


I essentially admitted to myself that I'm not giving up my old NWTF Mossy Oak vest with buttons until it needs to be replaced, and that thing will probably last for another 20 years. I also realized I'm really not a big fan of the new style vests with the double chest strap buckles.
