I live rural
all my neighbors tend to keep to themselves, few here grow there own foods, so they been relying all there lives mostly on store bought foods
most stay in doors all the time as many are rather old now and have been this way for a decade or more

we have zero issue's with rats,
field mice can happen and they will get in places at times, but most folks here know this and as such have been dealing with them all there lives, knowing how to and what to do to try your best top deter and keep them from doing any damage!

I don't really for see mass numbers of things getting worse in many MODERN places where health standards are meet by most

places where things have always been IFFY , will be the places where things MIGHT get worse

but this is I doubt anything new to the folks in these places!
as if they been living in places with high amounts of rats and such, and have NOT been correcting things, when numbers were lower, I doubt there going to start now?
they will face the new issue's as they happen and never get ahead of them!
