If you're using Google maps, you can switch back and forth from the map view to satellite view to help determine what the bayhead looks like in a satellite image. There are also hunting map programs that you can view on your phone or online which help with boundaries, location and even GPS coordinates. They're not too expensive if you only subscribe for a year at a time for just your state. Since you're using Google already, do a search with your own terms ( like "canoing in on the withalacochee") and see what you come up with. Somebody will likely have posted something somewhere and it will help you figure out who else is on the river or not. You can also contact your state Fish and Game to see if they have any info on that area. perhaps a biologist has explored it already? Best of look in your scouting. Sometimes that's a lot of fun all by itself just figuring this stuff out.
