Default Little Sharps

I just saw a cute little rifle with the Lyman name on it. But a bit of research shows that its made for Lyman by Chiappa. Its identical to the 1874 Sharps except its 2/3 scale. It was chambered in 38-55 which would be an OK round for deer out to about 150 yards. But at a tag of $1099.00 I think its a might steep.
The differences between the Lyman and the Chiappa is that the Lyman has a brushed nickle finish on the receiver and a Lyman tang sight and globe front sight. The Chiappa has a case hardened receiver, Lyman tang sight and ramp front sight.
I'm asking if anyone has any experience with this little rifle and opinion. I know Chiappa isn't high end but I have one of theirs that looks like the M1 carbine but chambered in 9mm and it is a blast to shoot.
