crimedog, My wife is using 225 TTSX’s in her rifle, so I can only give you : powder - RL 22, primer - Federal 215, case - Federal Safari (nickel). With the TTSX’s we’re getting 2950 fps, but.... they are being pushed pretty hard. From a “box-stock” Winchester Model 70, 3 shot groups are at or just under 2” @ 300 yards. Good Luck with the ELD-X’s, you should get good accuracy! Though, placement is paramount on high velocity, close range shots!

It seems as though many seem to prefer the “faster” powders for the .338 WM, we’ve had good luck with the slower stuff....such as RL 22. And yes, it will often be a”compressed load”.....especially if you use a mono bullet! memtb
