That works great during the September hunt. But once they are with the cows it becomes a different game. But it is still possible to catch one wandering that may come in. But your chances are slim as they already have established their territory. They become just like an old Tom turkey and start looking for loving instead of fighting. I did take the plunge and bought a cocall. It’s an electronic call and it came with a cow SD card. So I am hoping it will pull one away. I have a hard time now a days trying to mimic a moose threw a birch bark horn because of the after affects of cancer on my voice. I do have a couple of grunt tubes though. One of them is a cow grunt and I am experiencing a hard time using it. The bull grunt is no problem at all. I called this one out using the bull grunt a week ago. But now they are with the cows and it’s a different hunt.
