It sure is. An old doe is as wary as an old buck. They are on edge at all times. One item appears out of place and they exit the area. No human interference necessary. They have all day every day to essentially go nowhere. At least in the midwest farm belt and woodlots.
Whether by commercial products and/or mother nature, scent control should always be a priority.
