In terms of socks, I'd look into
merino socks - therefore, SmartWool in this case.
However, if you're on a budget, there are quite a few discount packs you can get (as merino wool can be pricey). Personally, I've tried lots of brands including Smartwool, Icebreaker. Currently my favourite is Darn Tough (Vermont made, lifetime guarantee).
