Default Bob Hoyts barrel

I finally got back out to shoot my .58 cal flintlock barrel that Bob Hoyt made for me earlier this year. The first outing a couple months ago I was having ignition problems due to a cheaper vent liner. But I had gotten enough shots off to sight it in. Today after installing a RMC liner I fired three shots each using 80, 90, and 100 gr of Goex FFg, a .570 ball, and a .020" Oxyoke patch. All shots were at 50 yards. This barrel has very deep rifling and shows a lot of promise to be a great shooter. The .570 ball and .020 patch seems to be a nice fit. After using the short starter it was still snug using the range rod for another 8-10 inches then went down with a nice firm pressure.
