Just curious how many of you have gone after these?
Photo is a Tundra Swan that I took in NC. I spent a lot of my navy career in VA and both VA and NC issue quite a few swan permits. I always put in for both states and drew a good number of them. This is an immature bird (you can tell because it has some grey on it) and those were what I always targeted. I took them for meat (very good roasted) and didn't try for one of the big mature birds. Even one like this would go about 20 lbs. Lots of fun to hunt and a heck of a thing to serve for Christmas dinner.
