first Id have to point out that no soft case , offers a great deal of structural protection
and many of the cheap plastic hard cases, offer little more.
now having a pistol in a soft case , due to its generally limited length is usually less prone to damage.
especially if its carried in a larger range bag, with ammo, accessories and maybe other pistols in soft cases.
most can be found for under $50, and Id look for ones that have lots of padding and a nylon zipper case, in a soft case
but if your serious at firearms protection find a hard shell aluminum, or thick structural, thick plastic water proof hard case
with decent hinges and multiple locks
yeah, they cost 2-5 times more, but the good ones last a life time and if youve ever seen baggage handlers throwing luggage,
on a plane youll see the wisdom, if you bought a $1000-$3000 set of two rifle and scopes and your transporting those,

think hard about limiting choices to ONLY THE BETTER QUALITY CASES MADE BY,
pelican
, plano,
skb,
BOYT
it makes a great deal of sense to spend more than $50 on protecting them in transport
