Patched Round Ball accuracy will be very marginal in a 1-28 twist with a hunting power load.

The solution is simple. Check out the Thor copper conicals at muzzle-loaders.com or the Federal 350gr lead B.O.R. conicals. Neither one is cheap but they are designed to hold together with heavy loads.

A cheaper solution is either NoExcuses or BullShop conicals. A 420-460grain soft lead conical with a somewhat mild load of powder (70-90gr) is a devastating combination. If you go with soft lead its also a good idea to get some wool felt wads to protect the base of the bullet.
