Finished up another Mountain Rifle. I really went overboard on the stock. I went through a series of sand paper grits and between each coat of stain, I polished it smooth. In the end, I stopped at 2000 grit and then applied a hand rubbed finish of Genuine Oil. I plan on making a clone of this one for myself after I heal up from neck surgery.

Shiny pictures had a light coat of linseed oil to help show the wood better.
