Great hunt and great trophies and lots of memories. Thanks for posting it. Story well told. Just as a matter of information. Cow Bison will do the same thing as happened on your hunt. When we killed our Bison a couple of years ago the cows gathered around the fallen ones to protect them and butted them trying to get them to stand up. When I shot mine two cows were trying to make my bull get up and the guide said if we don't run them off they will have the meat all bruised up so we ran at them screaming and yelling, we had to do it three times till they walked off for good and I wasn't really keen on charging at a herd of Bison, I expected them to charge back. Again great story and pictures and that was also quite the hog, huge cutters.
