You are correct the Lehigh bullets or even the Lehigh/Bloodlines built for Knight really so pack a 'wallup'!!! They may be, well they are, the best 'Terminal Ballistic' bullet I have used.

TC's especially the newer TC's normally have a very tight bore. But, today with the variety of different size sabots you probably would not have a problem getting to fit. If you are only hunting deer Lehigh might have the perfect bullet for you a .451x230CF-HP. The 451 being a slightly smaller diameter might be perfect...

Lehigh also makes a .452-240 and .452-265CF-HP bullets that with the correct sabot - probably a Harvest Black Crush Rib or the MMP EZ-3P. They are the thin 50 cal. sabots.

With sabotless bullets, the standard OP is to patch a couple until sufficient fouling builds then no patches necessary??
Correct...
