Default RE: Just a question on accuracy?

I always shoot for accuracy on a dirty barrel. I try to make sure the barrel is cold when I start. I don' t know why the flyer, still getting better at shooting. The flyer could be me, hard to say. I think the rifle does shoot better that I' m capable of shooting it but as long as I can keep it MOA or better I' m content. Still dialing in the handloads for it but it should be better now. Actually shoots better on a clean barrel but I want to have it sighted in on a dirty barrel since any follow up shots will be that way. There is some side wind at the range I shoot at too so I could say that' s part of it. I don' t usually dope for wind, just try to wait until it' s calm to pull the trigger most of the time. Shooting a 160g bullet the wind shouldn' t affect it that much I think at 300 yards.

/off to check the charts

Well, wind could be to blame I guess. At 300 yards I lose 6" to drift in a 10mph crosswind so if there was a little breeze it could be that I guess.
