Iv'e been hunting the santiam unit since the beginning of the season, I saw does every day during the first season and 2 bucks out of range. We had a bad snow storm at the end of the first season and now were in second season and i haven't seen a single animal so far. Not sure if they left the high country during the storm or if they truly are just hiding. Ive mainly been below timberline but have also been to salmon river canyon, trillium lake, blue box pass, timothy lake, lolo pass and nothing. Any advice helps as the end of the season is near.
