like everyone else shot placement is all the difference. a .22 in the ear will work just fine but I tell all my clients that come to my ranch to shoot .30 caliber. most guys want to keep the skull mount and head shots are not great for that deal. big hog can take a heck of a thump. always shoot big and heavy
