RE: Some quick help please!
Hey Don,
I have the cosmic single pin on my MM and love it. You won' t find a brighter pin and I' ve had almost no trouble with it. I' m not sure about the 3 pin....
As for the slide.
It' s very easy to get used to. There are 2 lockdowns but I really never change it for hunting situations. 0-26/27 yards is on. IF you prefer to change it it can become a hassle if you have the alpine quiver. You have a hard time fitting your fingers btw or around the quiver mount to get to the back screw. I leave mine unscrewed as the fronty locks it down damn tight as it is as I don' t hear it rattle at all due to the oring in btw. You can easily reach the frint no matter what quiver config you have going on.
As far as weight.
It' s light. Lighter than it looks. The majority of the sight is lexan and very strong but super light. The only weight comes from the mounting bracket and that' s not much at all.
In general.
I' m pretty hard on stuff and have never had a problem (even with the back screw loosened) with knocking it off or out of whack and I drag my stuff through the brush a lot. The fiber is ungodly bright, almost too bright for fine-line spots or indoor stuff, but for hunting....you can see it in the moonlight.
The only downside is the quiver. I use a Bohning and had to use nylon 1/2" spacers to egt it to clear the slide. If you go the collector route you can screw it flush.
Hope that helps and good luck.
