Nice group. At 50 my eyes sure aren't what they used to be and shooting open sights is getting more difficult by the minute. Aperture sights have really helped me and that is one dandy looking setup you have there sir. Dad had to completely stop even trying open sights around my age and went to aperture for a few years then to completely relying on scopes. Looks like my vision is traveling the same path. Can't read without 1.5x reading glasses and buckhorns look like a fuzzy ball.
I know the feeling. I have to have 2.5 reading glasses . That's why I am so happy with this setup . I kinda gave up on open sights in my late fifties . Now I am in my early 60's and think I might be able to go back to open sights for a little while . At least at 100 I know I can. I can hardly wait to try 200 and 300 . Been a few years since I did any 200 + yard hunting with open sights . If nothing else I can have fun trying to poke paper
