At gun shows you'll get some reputable dealers and also a bunch of thieving shmucks too! Some of them are fun to watch trying to give a story line on a particular gun to a prospective customer. Some get realy outrageous. I just have to be careful not to laugh to hard. Oh gosh I gotta tell ya one I heard.
This one dealer has a USED .444 Marlin that had the barrel trimed back and the front sight was never reattached. Price:$450!!! His sales pitch was that the .444 is such a powerful round that Marlin had trouble with the MUZZLE END of the barrel CRACKING.<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>So they had short bbls on the first ones until they developed STRONGER steel to use in them!!!<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> What a load of it!!!
