i would reccommend using a fawn bleat in the pre rut if you are looking to call them in but if it is later in the season the does are preoccupied with mating. i agree with the baiting, but something natural works better. if you are hunting in an area with cedar trees, that' d be good. i had 5 deer eating on a fallen cedar tree at my deer stand last on monday. two of which i shot. the deer totally ignored my apple and corn mixture pile. hope this helps
