It had been shot a number of times off the sled with no weight prior to it busting the first time. The issue was brought up with the tech supervisor, who stated emphatically, that
"Lead sleds will not harm our scopes."
Since the repair, EVERY round has been fired either off the shoulder and at times using a rear bag, less than 100 rounds.
