Colorado Elk - Hunt #85-E – Reduced to $4000 for 4th season 2017 – 6 openings. This is a great deal for a private land, guided hunt out of a lodge. Horses are used daily to get to and from the hunting area. This place picks up a lot of elk in November and 4th season has always been a good producer. It is not uncommon to see 100-300 elk per day. If you are looking for a hunt with high success rates at a great price, this is as an excellent option.
4 Day Hunt – Nov. 15-18, 2017. License cost is $644 and 100% draw odds. Includes: meals, lodging, 2×1 guiding, field care, skinning and caping of elk, delivery of meat to processor.
Colorado Elk - Hunt #49-E – (not on website) 4 openings for 4th rifle season – Nov. 15-19, 2017. Only $4000 per hunter. This outfitter had a 4th season group move their hunt to 2018 freeing up these spots for this fall.
Multiple leases are hunted on this hunt. Elevation ranges from 5600’ - 8500’. This hunt is best suited for hunters that can get around. You don’t have to be in sheep shape but it is a spot and stalk hunt and not a drop off stand hunt. If you don’t mind riding a horse or a mule, all the better, because using them is a possibility depending on where the elk are.
Bulls from 270 – 300 inches are taken regularly and a 340 bull was taken two years ago. License cost is $644 and 100% draw odds.
Hunt includes: 2x1 guiding, private land hunting, field care and skinning of your elk. Meals and lodging not included. A motel in Rifle is used.
