Default RE: How many are content with the bow they have?

I' m convinced that the bow manufacturers out there know how to get a bow to shoot way faster and quieter than what' s currently on the market. It' s kind of like computers - introduce new technology a little at a time so there will always be a market. I' m also convinced that when shooting a deer at 15-20 yards and the arrow goes through the deer, it' s through. Does it really matter if we can shoot faster once the arrow goes through the deer? I dont' know.

I got a Ben Pearson when I was 12, killed many deer with it over the next 22 years. Finally broke down and bought a new Hoyt two years ago. This is a bow I' ll have for many years to come. No need in spending a grand to get the latest for me. I also have a Bob Lee recurve shooting at around 75#. I don' t see me buying another recurve. Maybe a long bow, but that' s about it.
