They did produce the Accusporter in 1-48 twist as I remember. And the composite wood looking stocks were beautiful IMO. If this is a flintlock, then yes... black powder only. If not and its percussion then 777 is a fine powder and should work well.

I used to talk to a person that had the Accusporter in 1-66 roundball twist and in the 1-48. He lives in PA and hunt Kansas also each year also. He was telling me his was a flintlock and he's told of a lot of deer his son and him have shot. The son also has an Accusporter.

Also as I remember (I came one word from owning one. I called and was talking to the person at RMC and there was some rumor they were going out of business. When I asked him he did not answer me to my satisfaction so I did not purchase one) but as I remember one model had a removable breech plug (which is why I wanted one) and the other model did not.

Are you sure they did not shoot a 240 grain XTP in a black sabot out of the rifle. The reason I ask is the person I used to talk to, used that Hornady .45 caliber XTP in a black sabot as a hunting load when he hunted deer in Kansas each year.

Sounds like you have a great rifle.
