These things happen to many of us and we don't even know we're doing it. Just like some shooters close their eyes anticipating the rifle's recoil.

However, all the off hand targets shown, are pretty darn nice targets.
May be all possibilities but I'm pretty sure it's not my own case. At least if so it's small potatoes compared to anticipating the trigger. Any one in archery who has fought a "dropping the bow" habit to a draw is going to feel this immediately on the first shot. It's a close cousin to trigger panic and only concentration on avoiding it and building the follow through to build good habits will beat it.

Combined with shooting a heavy rifle with light recoil, AR15, and the better results with an effort in that direction has me convinced here at least. A lighter trigger will also help this sometimes.

A large obstacle here is "old fat guy" syndrome as well.

I've got years of beer, cup cakes, and diabetes between me and being this poster boy.

But knowing what you want to be TRYING to do can help any body improve and get better. For me it's not about how good you are, it's about how good CAN I BE. How good can I HELP YOU BECOME. If it helps it helps. I'm paying attention to the thread like everyone else, looking for things I think will help to achieve a goal.

Other than skipping cupcakes.
