so i finally had a chance to shoot my super safari i converted from a regular stock. when it was original it loved a 440 gr/100 gr 777 ffg load and after i restocked it it didn't shoot the same so i went to the range today and was trying some different load/combo's and i realized i had a pack of parker and hale .50/580 gr bullets boom that did the trick at least so far i only had one package but the gun so far really liked them so 580 gr over 90 grs 777 ffg really tightened up the group! these bullets have a taper to them so i'm not sure yet if it was the weight of the bullet or the tighter fit at the top of the bullet had to put some pressure on them to get past the first few inches then they slid right down on a dirty barrel too. i'm having a new mold made from lbt it's going to be a 600 gr super slug slip fit with two sizers one at .503 and the other at .504 if it shoots the 600 just as well as the parkers it's probably the weight of the bullet that the rifle likes ? i was also considering barrel harmonics as another factor ?? it was also extremely windy today !!
