The flechings in a sense twist around the shaft (When i say ' twist' i don' t mean all the way around the shaft. I mean that one end of the flechigns start in one location and the other end is a couple degrees off from where you started. Think of threads on a screw...) in either a clockwise or counter clockwise direction. It is used to create spin on the arrow as well as create a bit more drag on the rear of the arrow for more stability during flight.


If anybody has a better discription, please fill free to chime in. Hopefully you understand what I mean bscofield.
