I have a GPR .50 ca 1979 with 6 lands, made in Italy.Love it.

Recently picked of a GPR flinter, ca 1997; it has 5 lands and significantly more shallow rifling.
also, almost appears to have false muzzle.


Nothing ever is as it was, of course, but it seems to me this may be more about cost-effectiveness than an advance in quality...

btw, Semi- any flint/flint size recommendation?
