Why do you seem to now be trying to make something out of nothing when he told you what he meant?! Sounds to me like maybe the miss may have been caused by the projectile hitting something before it got to the buck if he was in brush like you mentioned.
I never took the shot in the brush, he was free of any brush. I don't understand it.
My original post was to point out I missed and glad to see him in the area. Oldtimr sounded like he was trying to point out why I missed. I never got a great look at him until after the shot.
