You'll notice this guy was likely a 10-point, but broke off his right antler. His bases were covered in residue from rubbing trees. You cannot quite tell from the picture, but one of his brow tines is longer than the other.
I frankly wouldn't have it any other way. My first deer was a 3-point spike (it was an odd configuration) with one of his antlers broken off, as well. My dad was with me when I shot my first buck over 9 years prior. So it seemed only fitting my first larger buck should have an antler missing, too.
It'll be one of my most treasured trophies for a long time, I have no doubt.
