Well atleast he didn't know you were there so hopefully you can get another chance at him. Deer LOVE white oak acorns. They much prefer them over red oak acorns because those white oaks are sweeter. Taste them for yourself.

If I find a white oak dropping acorns I'll be dropping my butt nearby!
