I suppose it is possible to find a practical purpose for an ATV but from what I have seen they are effective as a pronghorn repellent. Game can hear those things at long distance. It is not unusual to drive on real roads during the a day's hunt where an ATV would be out of place. The pronghorns see trucks all of the time and do not seem very stressed by them, but guys ripping around on ATVs is another matter.

You will probably need a four wheel drive vehicle on some of the two-tracks but a normal four wheel drive pickup works well. The two tracks were made by people driving pickup trucks and you normally must drive on established two-tracks or roads. A small (road legal) jeep might be handy but I doubt it would be worth towing it that far.
