Yeah it is really weird. I've been shooting closing one eye lately, and I have good aim doing that. But wanted to improve my speed following quick targets like small game, or birds. I think overall I am ambi-ocular with I slight left eye dominance. Today I tried a red dot sight and I had no problem at all using it with both eyes open. Right eye would lock in if holding the rifle with my right hand instantly, and left eye will lock in when holding rifle with left arm. Truly bizarre. I will probably let the iron-sights go and get a red dot.

Here's what I noticed with the red dot:

- Holding rifle with right hand: Right eye becomes dominant and locks in instantly.
- Holding rifle with sight on the center of view (sight between my eyes): I get double image and can't see red dot.
- Holding rifle left hand: Left eye becomes dominant and locks instantly.

Seems like my brain is pretty undecided and somehow lining up the iron sights is extremely confusing for my brain.
