I located a tom yesterday morning but within the first 15 minutes of coming off the roost he and his 10 hens were a mile away. In about 30 min I glassed them about 3 miles away on a wheat field.
I was able to get on my favorite unit yesterday evening but while walking in someone had dumped several bags of cracked corn out. Here in Oklahoma it's illegal to bait turkeys so I had to leave the unit. Just 1 thing after another lol
Here not many hunters hunt after 11 am if you can go back in an area after 1pm and catch them on the way back to strut or roost area, I find gobblers and flocks come back around in the afternoon and here gobblers get lonely after 3pm.
