October 2014/2015, Nov. 2015, Dec. 2014, and Jan 10th 2016 last day of Muzzleloader. I've never owned a muzzleloader until this year. I've only hunted muzzeloader season once and that was last season, I shot a 148" on the last day and only hunted 2 days (the afternoon of the 9th and 10th)
If someone has preference points in Iowa or is willing to wait 3 years to draw then I can do a rut hunt during November, but most people would prefer not waiting. Lots of deer during this time looking for food and we have great corn plots for them.
