Even though I haven't seen a hen or tom since last season on my place, I still managed to get a good bird this morning on opening day in Louisiana. I really wasn't expecting anything, but obviously this bird just moved in. Just goes to show, you never know. Bird weighed 20 lbs. 6 oz., spurs were 7/8" and 1", and had a 9 inch beard.
