If he buys a hunt at Trinchera it won't cost him any points and he won't ever hunt that ranch DIY without a RFW tag which he can't legally get. That place has some of the most expensive deer hunts in the state. From his original post it seems he wants to cash in his points and since he says he will come up and scout that means he isn't looking to hire a guide. Guides do the scouting and that's why they get paid.

So, Trinchera would be off the table for him.
