I am too big a baby to shoot 100 grains. I load 80 grains of 777, a 3.5 inch wad and fill it with a mix of #5 shot. With that load I have shot only one turkey. And it was a easy shot as I called him into decoys at 25 yards and then took his head. But I have rolled soup cans with that same load at 40 yards. My TK2000 kicks me like a mule. But it is a fun gun to shoot. Just not a lot of shooting per day.
I am very pleased with the pattern. The wads are very solid and not split deep. And I limit my shots to 35 yards. I am thinking of mounting a scope on mine so I can really head shoot. But the one I did shoot was planted. Nothing but wing flutter after the shot.
