Gang,
It was my wife's birthday the other night so I did the right thing and WENT HUNTING! Hold on, we went to dinner first and then I took my son to a hockey game. My wife was home taking care of her father who was recovering from a minor operation.
I did not get out to the fields until 11 PM. The first fox appeared at the 30 second mark to Baybee Cottontail. I was really locked on it and the shot was almost too easy at 60 yards.
The second fox appeared inside of a minute as it was surrounded by at least 20 deer. The big male really charged the call, but gave me a nice 50 yard shot.
The third fox was a gray that appeared out of nowhere. It ran away when I maneuvered to shoot. I switched the sound to platinum gray and the fox instantly returned for another easy shot.
Then the rains came and I bailed... quickly!!!
