No, but one time I tripped and stuffed the barrel in the mud. It was a sidelock of course and I had to go home to fix it.
Had it been an inline I could have removed the BP on the spot and fixed it. You could also dry ball a quick second shot under pressure. Double load?
I travel light, and wouldn't bring a wrench if I hunted with an inline.
So, let's forget all that, and say you'd never need to take out the BP for a hunt. Why does it have to come out fast?
